Terry F Sieck
Terry F. Sieck is an accomplished attorney, writer, veteran public servant, and one of lifetime’s longest and strongest advocates and volunteer community servants. After earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1974, one of the first fifteen women in her class, she entered law practice. Before going to court in Chicago, Terry practiced with a major firm and later with the Illinois Retail Merchants Association. Then, she made a mark with her nonprofit work across the country, including time in local government.
She went to Harvard University for a Master’s degree in a one year program for professionals with government experience. After that, she moved to San Diego to try for a fresh start, where she took a position leading fundraising and public relations for an organization that supports adults with developmental disabilities. It was the place where she met her late husband, Larry, a retired entrepreneur and philanthropist. They made a blended family together and watched it grow spectacularly, but through a trip to Russia, that family grew with three teenage daughters.
However, Terry's spirit goes much further, immersing herself in her professional, personal, and spiritual aspects. She has preached in many churches and fed a book, God’s Garden, the sermon she first published. After retirement, she travels with her extended family and writes stories about the themes of resilience, faith, and human connection.
Terry worked on a book titled “Gods Garden,” which is a masterpiece of storytelling that captures her wisdom, warmth, and wit, all delivered with decades of experience. It is both thought-provoking and deeply personal.
