The beauty of God's work is a great testimony of His goodness and love. In Eden, when He planted seeds of existence, He designed an environment of unmatchable beauty. The first lady, Eve, opened her eyes in a paradise of unmatchable beauty, a sinless paradise in which nature flourished in perfect harmony. This beauty was not for enjoyment, however, but a tool for humans to praise and identify with the Creator.
And although sin entered, polluted every corner of existence, God's grace shone all the more in the beauty of this visible world. He filled this earth with beauty, so we can see and enjoy, and have a sense of awe and wonder in the flowers, trees, and landscapes we observe. Beauty is not an aesthetic touch, it is an appeal, a tool which God is using for attracting us unto Himself. Each rich color, each delicate detail in nature is evidence of the Creator, who made this world of nothing, and sustains it in being by His power.
If we take time for reflection and walking in a garden, pausing in nature's arms, we remember God's Garden is a renewal for us. The beautiful pattern of each petal, each leaf, each sunset is a reflection of God's great love for His masterpiece. His masterpiece has been crafted in care and intent, more beautiful than a bloom of a flower and a tree.
Spending some time in a garden, it settles our nervousness and let us thank His rich grace and for all of this beauty which we see around us. We also regard every moment of calm, every moment of rest in His creation, as a reminder of His love, a call to praise Him, who is the Creator of all which is lovely to see as a human being.
