About the Book

The narrative of “Tears of the Sword” follows Daymon through his emotional journey of reliability and disloyalty while seeking forgiveness in a medieval kingdom that faces imminent collapse.

Sir Daymon served King William faithfully as a knight until his betrayal happened at the hands of his friend Sir Grayson. Grayson carries both jealousy and romantic feelings towards Princess Gwendalyn which drives him to falsely accuse Daymon of stealing her affection. The cruel decision banishes Daymon away from his kingdom while setting in motion his death sentence for returning. A magical protection spell conceals the secluded forest cabin which Daymon calls home after being banished from the kingdom. His devotion to the kingdom stops him from renouncing his responsibility despite spending numerous years in exile.

The king’s loyal knight Sir Grayson receives orders to visit Lord Aaron's castle during his mission. At this location, Grayson battles internal turmoil about his disloyalty to Daymon while being tormented by his ongoing passion for Princess Gwendalyn. Grayson finds himself deeper into the plans of Lord Draygor as the North warlord leads the kingdom into darkness. Draygor rules a frightening force of savage creatures who manage to penetrate the insurmountable northern mountains. People fear him because of his brutal nature.

Draygor uses the mountains as a passage to allow his army of monsters to invade the realm. His forces march south, threatening to overrun the kingdom and destroy everything in their path. Grayson faces the impending collapse of his kingdom even though he betrayed the kingdom in the past.

The approaching forces of Draygor break the peace that Daymon once lived in. Since the kingdom started pleading desperately for his return, he faces a choice between continuing in hiding or joining the battle field that used to be his domain. Daymon fights to choose between saving his broken past and halting the oncoming destruction of the kingdom while seeking redemption. Does he possess the ability to pardon his former betrayers and regain his position as a leader or will he stay consumed by his shattered state as an exiled man?

Within the Book “Tears of the Sword” the war between good and evil extends beyond territorial control because it represents a battle for the salvation of those harmed by their personal feelings and mistakes and their selfish drives.
